Aircraft Spotlight: Bombardier Challenger 850
Evolved from the 50-seat CRJ 200 used by commercial airlines, Bombardier began delivering the re-branded Challenger 850 in 2006. The modified airliner featured the same airframe and engines, but the cabin and interior were re-designed for executive use. The Challenger 850 is the largest aircraft in the Challenger family ideal for travelling in larger groups or taking the whole family…should you choose.
The stand-up cabin, originally designed to accommodate 50 passengers, is just shy of fifty feet long, eight feet wide and six feet high, it has three-zones and features two lavatories, an executive galley and access to the baggage hold during flight. The space in the cabin rivals that of an ultra-long-range aircraft yet offers the hourly rates associated with heavy jets.
